Meet Dan Krull, Herpetologist & Snake Behavior Specialist

Dan Krull brings a lifetime of experience working with reptiles and amphibians. A respected herpetologist, educator, and conservation advocate, Dan has played a vital role in validating the behavior-driven design behind SlitherStation.

With a strong background in exotic animal care and ethical field research, he helped guide the humane testing process by overseeing multiple snake species in controlled environments to ensure safety and reliability.

Dan is a board member of several conservation-focused organizations and co-manages
projects that blend science, sustainability, and storytelling—including Eden Bio-Creations
and Small Scale Films.

He’s also active as a public speaker and content creator, helping audiences understand the ecological value of snakes and how to coexist with them responsibly.

His unique combination of scientific insight, media expertise, and hands-on husbandry made him an essential contributor to SlitherStation’s development.

At the core of this innovation is expert herpetologist Dan Krull, who has overseen rigorous field testing of physical snake containment systems across a wide range of species, including rattlesnakes, copperheads, coral snakes, coachwhips, and more.

His work provided critical insight into the behavior-driven design that now defines every SlitherStation enclosure.
